Investigative Examination

Time is all in all. It is the time that makes us different. Being a teacher, it's a duty to be in touch with students, cooperate with them with their study, help them feel relaxed if they are under trauma of Covid-19 corona virus and should take them out from the exam phobia. We generally used to run three or our four exams during an academic year to upgrade them from their earlier classes. But this time Covid-19 corona virus has stood as a hurdle of Nepalese as well as most of the students in the world. The countries which are equipped with modern gadgets, skilled manpower with their gadgets, their applications and access to the internet don't have any problem to run online classes. Online classes seem as if they are only for the sake of showing but not effective to the lower classes' students. It's very common for the higher classes' students. Neither the teachers are familiar with their application nor students as well as their guardians are able to use and afford them.

Our school Pashupati Mitra Secondary School in Chabahil ,Kathmandu has tried its best to be in touch with students in various ways: distributing relief allowance, publishing results, distributing books, running online classes, contacting students through telephones, asking guardians to be present at school and provide their consent to send their children at school for letting them do and show homework to the teachers and so on. This Covid-19 corona virus has made the people of the world captive, no more different to the animals in the zoo. We all human beings have to gain lesson from this pandemic and have to struggle to survive our lives the days ahead too. Students in crowed cities are mostly victimized due to it. They have neither any open space for outdoors game nor enough space and gadgets to have pleasant pastime. Due to it, so many students have under mental pressure and have anxiety. To take them out from this difficult situation, we have asked them to receive homework from school and let their tasks checked by the subject teachers. We have shocked to see the growth of students and their way of thinking too.

Some of the students have used their time properly but the students from haves not group are under deprived of learning new skills too. to make them feel normal, we have asked them to go to school and met their class teachers as well as subject teachers to learn something else. It has not been easy for the school to handle. But the teachers who are here at this school are trying their best to be in touch with students and help them learn something else.

Although we have nearly spent 9 months' time of new academic year 2077, all of our students have not been in contact yet. To make them in touch with school, we are going to conduct exam from 21 of Poush 2077. This time exam would be of different to other types exam. We generally used to take three exams; first terminal, second terminal and final examination, but this year we are in dilemma about running the classes as well as the examination. The local government of Kathmandu has not allowed us to run physical classes though most of the students and their guardians are eager to send their kids at school. Even the schools are not able to take their own decision.

Though there are various types of exams like first terminal/ second terminal and final examination, open book test examination, Multiple choice exams. Multiple choice questions usually include a phrase or stem followed by three to five options. Problem or case-based exams, Oral exams. Open-book and take-home exams,
Essay exams, etc. These are the earlier practices. Among them, open book test examination seems relevant during the pandemic. But our school is going to take the students out from the exam phobia and going to run the exam differently. We give its name -Investigative examination. Here everyone has to know that every exam is investigative. Our intention is to know that how our students have prepared the text themselves and develop their ability rather than letting them memorizing the contents and write them in their answer sheets.

Our plan to run exam is : to prepare sets of questions according to the grid, give the students each subject question paper one day, and ask them to return it next day and they have to take the second, third, fourth, fifth and other papers accordingly. सरोकारवाला सवैलाई चेतना भया
चित्त नबुझेको कुरा कसैलाई सुनाइदिदा चित्त दुख्छ भने दुखिराखोस किनकि सत्यको महिमा नबुझ्नेहरु मानव समाजमा यत्रतत्र छरिएका हुन्छन । विचारा आफ्नो औकात थाहछैन अरुको औकातको कुरा गर्छन । कठै त्यस्तालाई के भन्नु । कहिलेकाही भट्टी पसलले पनि स्वागत गर्छ अनि एक प्यालामा नतमस्तक हुदै वेचिनेहरु अरुको औकातको कुरा गर्छन, समाजसेवि हु भन्दै समाजलाई नै चुस्तै हिड्छन तर पनि ति विचारै छन किनकि अरुको औकात खोजे तर आफ्नो वनाउनै सकेनन किनकि उनीहरु थाह नै नपाई एक प्यालामा वेचिएका छन । कलियुगका न्यायमुर्तिहरुले न्याय दिलाउन नसके पनि ति स्वघोषित न्यायमुर्तिहरुका आंखाका नयनहरु सिधा हेर्न सक्दैनन कठै अझै दावा गर्छन अरुलाई औकात वनाउ भन्दै । अनि म त फलानाको मान्छे, उसको काम गर्दिन गएको रे । औकातै छैन किनकि उ थाह नपाइ वेचिएको मान्छे । होशियार कतै तिमि पनि वेचिदै पो छौ कि, होशियार ।
मानिसको मुल्य र औकात नवुझेकालाई के भन्नु अर्थ त नरहेला तर पनि भनिदिनुपर्छ किनकि उ भित्र पनि हरिको वास छ, अल्लाहको वास छ । जव भगवान रामले सुग्रिभ माथि वाण चलाए, उसले रामलाई धर्मको पाठ सिकाउन खोजे अनि रामले भने कुन धर्मको कुरा गर्दैछस आफ्नो घरबाट भाईलाई निकाली उसकि श्रीमतीमाथि आंखा लगाउदा ध्यान कहा गयौ । अन्धा र मुर्ख राजाले नियुक्ति गरेका चुलवुले मन्त्री, सल्लाहकार पनि उस्तै हुन्छन । कहाबाट आउछ ज्ञान त जस्ता मुर्खसंग । रघुवंशी राजाको सन्तान र राजा भरतको आदेशले सवैको संरक्षण गर्नु आफ्नो कर्तव्य ठानि वाण चलाए भनपछि सुग्रिभ नतमस्तक हुदै शरणमा पुग्छन , क्षमा याचना गरेपछि रामले उनको जीवनको लागि पुकार गरौ भन्दैगर्दा सुग्रिभले मानिस मर्नैको लागि जिइराखेको हो तर यस्तो मोक्षको मृत्यु पाउनु सौभाग्यको कुरा हो । अव मलाइ जिउनु छैन मोक्षवाला मृत्यु नै स्वीकार छ प्रभु भनि आफुलाई मृत्युमा नै छोडीदिनको लागि पुकार गरे ।
त्यस्तै गरी तीनवटा मोतिको खोजिमा हिडेको सिन्धवाद शहाजदा तालिफलाई जादुगर हुकमिरा मल्लिका हमेरारले सिन्धवाद शहाजदा तालिफ र शहरायी दरवेश पनि अर्थहिन भए भन्दै दड.ग पर्दै थिइ तर अन्तमा तिलस्मी महलमा लुक्न गए पनि केही नलागेपछि उसको प्रेम जित्न नसकेपछि उसलाई प्यास लागेको समयमा खोलामा वगेको पानीमा विष िमलाइ होस गुमाइ उसको प्रेमिका तैयाव्वालाई समेत विषर््ान पुग्छ तर उसलाई सहयोग गर्नको लागि महत्तोरिम सिन्धवादले शहज्यादा परी अल्ला तालालाई पठाइ खुदाको नाम लिइ आवेजामजाम पानी खुवाउछिन र उनी होसमा आउछन र अन्तमा जादुगर मल्लिकाले आफैले वनाएको पुत्लाले उसैलाई वाधिदिएको थियो र तालिफले तेस्रो मोति प्राप्त गरेका थिए ।
मल्लिका र सुग्िभ दुई भिन्न पात्र तर सुग्रिभले आफ्नो गल्ति स्विकार्दै मोक्ष प्ाप्ति गरे तर मल्लिका न मि्र्तु न प्यार ।
यही कुसंस्कृतिले ढाकेको छ नेपाललाई । होस गुमाएकालाई होसमा ल्याउनु नै आजको आवश्यकता भएको छ नेपालमा अर्थात औकात नबुझेकालाई औकात बुझाउनु नै सवैभन्दा ठूलो उपलव्धि हुनेछ ।
