International Labour Day
It's not necessary to quote how International labour Day has come to in existence. But the most important issue of today belongs to Labour. Before dealing with International Labour day, it will be better to know who the labours are and what they do and how is their present condition in the world. Very big revolution was success in every nation of the world due to the present of labour but the ones who are able to grasp the power of the nation are dominating them though they are the key persons of the world. There are various types of labour: physical labour, mental labour, productive and unproductive labour and skilled and unskilled labours. Professor Marshall says, "Any exertion of mind or body undergone partly or wholly with a view to earning some good other than the pleasure derived from the work."
For example the work of gardener belongs to the labour if it is done for earning but the next one who works in the garden for pleasure is not labour. Thus if anyone works for earning is called a labour. These are the key persons of the entire world but the government of each nation before election premises very big changes in their life style as well as their earning, never has kept to their promises and always makes them downtrodden. They were suppressed and are still being suppressed by the big brothers of each nation. The discrimination between labours from various nationalities is prevailing in each corner of the world. The most important issue that must be addressed today is of the labour. Mostly physical labours are neglected. Their voice must be heard and ended prevailing suppression and discrimination.
Even in Nepal the condition of mostly the physical labours is very pathetic. During the lockdown due to the pandemic covid 19 corona virus, have been compelled to reach their huts walking for nearly months, fortnight but whom they chose leaders are not listening to their plight. One thte one hand the present government of Nepal belongs to labours but on the other hands they are being suppressed. The leaders of ruling party are quarreling for the bargaining of the government. They are taking Nepal as their own in heritage property which seems very irrational and illogical. Nepalese people are not hoping that they should only enjoy the rights but hope everyone is of equal importance and the nation should treat all equally. No personal security should be given to any leader. The government should provide security to all. No one is all in all. It is bizarre to see and the listen the words and views spoken by the leaders that they are all in all and can do what they like. This is what a true Nepali regrets from his/ her deep heart.
Each political party should not allow the same leader as the chairperson or president of the party as the prime minister and minister time and again. Let them enjoy only one election tenure but not time and again. Payment of physical and mental labour should not have so much difference it's because a farmer is more important than the doctors and any other labours it’s because people can do nothing if they have plenty of money but not the food available in the market. Doctors are only for the patients but the farmers are all in all. Even a person without seeing a doctor may survive his her life but a doctor cannot survive without having food which is grown by the farmers. Farmers are the key persons of each nation. So are the masons and other labours who erect the building that is drawn in the paper by the labours. Let them have more or less equal payment to survive. End the vast different in payment of the labours.
On the labours day I wish happy Labour Day to each labour. Let's end the discrimination but encourage everyone to live a prestigious life having good payment. Each labour should have time to work, enjoy and rest equally. Mostly in the industrial countries labours are suppressed and labours have been hired from the subcontractors who are paying them very less. How the developed countries are hiring the labours with low payment but maximum working hours. Such kind of injustice should end and let the entire world make a garden of all where every bud can bloom and gives off fragrance. Happy Internationa labours Day.
