Being a teacher, I am always concerned about students' performance. Due to more than two decades long experience in teaching English for school and college students I came to know that a teacher can teach nothing to his students but he can only guide them. If a teacher can teach, why all students performance is not the same. A teacher must be motivator and can stimulate them to learn. People generally say that practice makes a man perfect but Shibha Khera believes that only perfect practice makes a man perfect. I prefer the second one too. We teachers at Pashupati Mitra Secondary School in Chabahil during leisure period mostly talk how we can upgrade the status of over all performance of students and can make it one of the best schools . Why we have not been able to make our school first choice of our guardians. I am in the opinion that the medium of teaching must be in English. Community Schools which have medium of teaching English have been able to present them as good schools in Nepal. Even our school Pashupati Mitra Secondary school has begun to teach students in two medium; English and Nepali. Though it has been late, it is getting better.

My concern is that a person who never visits other institutions and thinks himself all in all ignoring to others' voice but leads the institution of his own way is the main cause of downfall of community schools. Mostly the headteacher is the cause of uplift and downfall of the educational institutions. A headteacher should be as soft as butter and as rigid as iron as the time demands. Therefore, a dedicated person in word and deed must be the headteacher. He can lead the institution and set a new record due to qualitative performance of students. Here in Kathmandu, some schools have been able to collect students and the renown community schools have been deserted. Our school is marching forward. The entire school family is dedicated to make this school a better hub for education.
Pashupati Mitra Secondary has well qualified, experienced and trained teachers as well as computer lab, projector lab and library too. It has not introduced music class and other that modern students are willing to grasp. Due to lack of playground students are deprived of playing out door games. If headteacher is concerned about it, it can be solved too. Our school requests local guardians and other to visit our school, then send their kids , we will make them our good students. We have students from various background. More or less this school represents the entire Nepal. You children can learn more from here due to students who are from various background mostly from the downtrodden to higher status. But majority students are from the lower economic status but they are fully human but not like machines. Good students from every class have been able to achieve A+ in their performance. Believe us and save your expense for your children's education.
