Travelling widens the mind
We human being learn so many things by observing things, places, animals, and others, reading books and journals , doing and experiencing something else. One of the best way to widen knowledge is travelling. Being a citizen of Nepal and I wish I could travel the entire world to know about the landscape, residing people around there, cultivation, deveolopment, culture, hospitality and other.I have been travelling around the tophill, downhill and valley that arr in Kaski district. On 18th January I got fresh and dialled Sabina to inform that I would be there for lunch. I went to Satmuhane to see Maniram Khanal who is our father's colleague. Seeing him means remember my father and his friendship. I was really happy to see him and his family there.

Seeing him means remember my father and his friendship. I was really happy to see him and his family there.
After visiting and talking about a little bit politics, development and human nature as well as education I saw him off. When I was there I came to know that he was not content with present and past government of Nepal though he believes in communism. He is a man of letters too. He has published an anthology of Nepali poetry and recently translated Garun Puran in Nepali from Sanskrit.
Then I went to my Sanima`s home to have lunch. I didn't stay long there. I had lunch and moved to Pumdi on motorcycle where Khemraj Guru, an honest leader of Nepali Congress, and my maternal father in law resides. I went there only to see him who was undertreatment and felt happy seeing him with his spouse taking care of a cow. I spent half an hour and moved to his brither`s home where I was heartily welcomed though father in law and brother in law were out of home. I wished to visit Pumdikot where one of the biggest images of lord Shibha is underconstruction.I reached there I found that it was like a piece of heaven from where we can see the summits of Mount Annapurna Machhapuchure and Fewa lake on its bottom to the north of this hill. Two airports and big plain land stretching to the eastern parts and seeing my own birthplace to the east and Saynja district on the west south from there. It is boardering part pf Kaski and Synja district too. I saw terraced field ith various vegetables, White Gumba to its east and yellow mustard field and green wheat as well as potatoes and varoius vegetables on the plain ground of Pokhara valley. I took some snaps. While observing there I met two middle aged men, Mahedra Baral a local and the next one a Bangali. I had no words to express my happiness but felt sad to know that he was not happy with the performance of present government though he actively involved in politics of communist. He said, "I made the mayor win but now he listens only to his henchmen". It´s not good symptom. Thus his words made me think that contemporary political parties and their leaders have to change there attitude and performance.

After an hour staying there I again went to my Mama`s home where I had khaja and returned with a bag full of vegetables .I called my brother who was involving in marriage ceremony at Gagangauda. I went there and we two brother went home together. As our daily recitation of Swosthani Katha, we went to the bed and watched Bishnupuran and slept. Next morning after getting fresh, I had lunch and moved to Thadobidi and Jhauri where I met my uncle and aunts as well as my cousins there. I sipped a cup of tea and moved towards Kalika.
When I arrived at Kalika Vanjyang, I wished to have a cup of tea. I prayed Kalika Ma and Ganesh. While sipping tea, the middle aged woman inquired about me , talked about land and the children I came to know that Amrit Adhikary´s home was nearly a hundred meter ahead to the east from the tea shop , was regularly touched with his father when he was in Qatar. I arrived at his home. When I reached at Amrit`s home, his mother was carrying a handful of green bough grass for hybrid and local goats. She didn't know me and introduced myself. She didn't allow me to move from there. She gave me oranges and guava from her own and apple as well as tea. I didn't have a word to express my happiness to her and her husband's hospitality. I moved on top of the hill and took some snaps from there. While moving to the next tophil I met two Shrees brother from Baglung and returned back home. We had dinner , watched TV and talked about the past and slept after 10 pm. My visit to Kalika made me realize that how worthy is it to be in touch with kith and keens. The couple made me be more sincere to pour hospitality to the ones who step to our yards and prove the saying- Guests equal gods.
