Nepal as the Federal Democratic Republic

29 May 2017
29 May 2017 marks the tenth anniversary of the declaration of Nepal as the Federal Democratic Republic. We can see the government of Nepal, as well as most of Nepalese, is commemorating it as the day of people. Nepal was able to end monarchy and declare the Federal Democratic Republic, Nepal on the very same day in 2008. This is the day that debunks the concept of Monarchy as the incarnation of God Vishnu. But, on this day some queries triggered into my soul and try to find the solution. What is the Republic? What benefit can a normal being achieve in Republic? Does it eliminate the various discrimination prevailing in our society? Does it provide equal opportunity to all? Are the visible differences between
the system monarchy and the Federal Democratic Republic?

Indeed, there are so many differences between past and present. A Nepali whether from Himal or Hill or Terai can be the President, Prime Minister of Nepal and can rule the nation. But he/she must be from power and pelf of the political parties. The place of Kings is at the hand of so-called leaders of Nepal. They are acting as if they are above the constitution. Though the constitution provides equal rights to all, only the handful leaders of political parties are exercising the nation power. They try to be in power. Even the supreme one does not show his/her interest to hand over the power to their own colleagues. If you study the Nepali Congress, the United Maoist, the UML, the RPP who were there in power and who are. You can get the answer. Even the former Prime minister Dr, Baburam Bhattarai blamed to Prachanda and abandoned his party and formed the new ones political party. What does it suggest? Even Prachanda talks about equality and contests from more than one proportional region in CA election. Is it imperative to be in power himself or can he hand over this to his own cadres? So is Deuba. He has been three tenure Prime Minister, and Ministry of home. Can't he give the present Prime -minister to another member from Nepali Congress? So are in the UML, the RPP and other political parties in Nepal.

What were the blames to the monarchical system? The blames were: to be king, there must be king's eldest son. They were corrupted and dictator. They couldn't provide justice. They were selfish and they were above the Constitution of Nepal. They were blamed as a white elephant. They were useless to keep them. Indeed, they used to exercise such power themselves. But now, have Prachanda and leaders from other political parties been able to present as simple human beings? Can they live in a hut as most of Nepalese are living? Can they wander without security forces? Can they see all youths as their own family members? Can they guide their followers providing the opportunity? If a youth get a chance he can change. Janardana Sharma, Ministry of Energy, Gagan Thapa, Ministry of Health and Nabindraraj Joshi, Ministry of Industry are performing better than others. In party system its regulations must be more important than the person. A leader should of vision and his/her vision should be implemented through his/her members.Hiding the power of party and nation in a single person can't be a tantalizing personality. The blames to others past are spilling on own faces now. On the day of Republic, Nepalese leaders should realize it and put into effect.
Present local election coalition result also suggests that they have to independently contest. If you try, you have already realized that you are weak and can do nothing. Be strong and rational to this issue. If you do the coalition for the sake of your personal interest avoiding the nation and your parties' one day they will compel to boycott you. If the general people or your members boycott you, you can do nothing. No one wishes to see your face. Don't let this day come to you. Think before being late. You still have time. Nepalese want t live in harmony. Most of the Nepalese are Hindus and pray to the gods and goddess. Some of them are Buddhists and love praying at Gumba and stupas. Some are Christians and love praying to Christ and some are Muslims and remember Allah and others pray their own.
There is always political revolution and leaders blame to others and are not being able to be the leaders' of Nepalese. A Prime Minister of the nation should be of all but not of a single party. They should practice fair politics. They should have agendas for the overall development of Nepal but not of a single group or party. They should not be selfish and run after a police officer or chief justice. They are there through the regulation you made. Don't exercise impeachment to any before the voters know about the happening.

A leader should be different to normal being. He/She has to give up personal greed. I met a great soul Dr. Manibhadra Muni Maharaja originally from Syngja and living in India. I salute to him through my inner heart seeing his simplicity. He has travelled more than 75000 kilometers on foot in his bare feet. This is the place of Muni. I have heard so many so called big leaders bow their heads to his feet. This is great but I surprise why they should not follow him. Through his single attempt, big buildings have been built and hospitals are in future plans.Nepalese wealth is her inhabitants of various creeds with different cultures. They believe in 'Guest equals gods'. They feel happy to feed rather than be fed. Let it continue. Let's unite through our feeling as a garland of hundreds of flowers.

General people have tolerated so much and they will but when you cross the limits and think Nepalese as your servants, but your real masters will come in bare feet and slogan of the hunger, development to show you the destination for your future. Be aware of your master on this precious day of Nepal.
